Description
Sacubitril + Valsartan Tablets
Sacubitril + Valsartan is indicated for use in the treatment of heart failure. It decreases the risk of death and hospitalization from all-cause in adults with chronic heart failure. It can also be used in pediatric patients 1 year old and above to less than 18 years of age to manage heart failure. Heart failure is a condition in which the heart is unable to pump blood as well as it should.
Sacubitril + Valsartan is a medication combination of sacubitril and Valsartan. Valsartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) class of drugs that inhibit the effect of angiotensin II receptors that constrict the blood vessels. By inhibiting the effect of angiotensin II receptors, Valsartan facilitates easier pumping of blood to all parts of the body by relaxing and dilating the blood vessels. Sacubitril is a drug belonging to the category of neprilysin inhibitors, which relaxes and dilates the blood vessels and facilitates easier movement of blood from the heart to all parts of the body. Sacubitril + Valsartan together treat heart failure.
